Bakersfield Adult School provides classes to help students improve their reading, writing, and math skills. Students who score below 239 on the CASAS assessment will find Pre-GED classes beneficial. Also, Pre-GED classes serve as a bridge between ESL classes and GED/ High School Diploma classes.

Students are enrolled to reach their goal of:

  • Basic skills development. Reading, Writing, and Math. 
  • Remediation of essential skills to pursue the high school diploma or GED.
  • The transition from ESL into GED/ High School Diploma classes.
